Who We Are

Hi, hello!

We are a creative wife and analytical husband team. What Jenna brings to the table in terms of skill, connection and a lot of ideas, John compliments with a financial background, being a master of excel and the ability to not get stressed out by emails.

Jenna started Dox & co. in 2017, but in 2025 we joined forces when John got laid off from his job as a senior accountant. We decided after a lot of thought and prayer that this was a now or never opportunity to grow this business enough to support our family full time. Our motivators are the flexibility to be present for our kids and to create our own financial security that is not dependent on someone else.

Jenna’s favorite dog breed is the dachshund which is where the name “Dox-and co.” came from. She considers herself a jack of all trades, has a “peacemaker/dreamer” personality type (9w1) and is always up for an adventure. This quote pretty much sums her up: "A jack of all trades is a master of none, but oftentimes better than a master of one." Some people find success in one niche, but that is not as convenient for clients and it’s a lot less fun to work on. Jenna thrives in mixing up creative projects. We’re leaning into those strengths and putting it all out there. We’ve seen proof from current clients that it takes away stress to bundle projects.

The vision Jenna brings to the table is that she’s a future thinker. As a result of her various interests she has the ability to see from different perspectives. She graduated from Texas A&M University with a degree in Agricultural Communications and Journalism. She was the editor in chief of her high school yearbook which was recognized twice in Balfour’s 2013 Yearbook Yearbook. She was the lead page designer and photo chief of The Battalion Newspaper, worked as the Graphic design student assistant at The Association of Former Students and studied photojournalism and cultural pluralism in Namibia, Africa all during her time at Texas A&M. She worked as a marketing associate for a commercial real estate developer before starting Dox & co. She is also the volunteer director at Circles Conference, a creative conference based in the DFW area. She has a background working with kids via music and dance and the first poster she ever designed was for her pet sitting business in 6th grade which, of course, featured clip art of a dachshund.

John graduated from Texas A&M University with a degree in Agricultural Economics of Finance and Real Estate. He grew up gaining a strong work ethic fixing up rental homes with his entrepreneur parents and fostered a love of gaming, building computers and tech. After college he worked his way up from a temp in the finance department to the role of senior accountant. He is now returning to his tech roots and learning to code, another skill that may serve our clients in the future. In contrast to Jenna naming this business after her favorite dog breed, John much prefers cats. He has a “loyalist/defender” personality type (6w5) mixed with an analytical mind. He is reliable, hard working and focused.

FAQs

How we utilize AI (and how we don't)

We believe with the rapidly changing landscape of AI it’s important to be upfront and honest with how we use it. First let us be clear, NONE of our photography, design or art is made with AI. That’s all human baby.

Photoshop’s generative AI feature can be helpful to quicken the retouching process - we often use it for that. However, we have the skills to back it up. We are doing 70-100% of the retouching work manually with Adobe’s Photoshop & Lightroom programs.

Another area we use AI is backend research. Our website SEO, keywords, how to show up on Google. We have used AI quite a bit for many backend business practices. We asked AI how to best organize our pricing so that it’s not overwhelming. We have written prompts to produce copy that we, the humans, then edit to make it our own. We are committed to being transparent because we don’t want to leave you guessing. In case you were wondering this entire section was written by Jenna (hi!) no AI, no prompt, no asking “how should I word this?” Just human. We hope our work comes across as that - because it is.

Why hire us? How are we different?

When we say we’re a one-stop shop we mean it. If there is something we don’t offer it’s likely we can connect you to our highly talented friends (see the referral links above & tell them we sent you!)

Working with a one-stop shop means you don’t have to think about a million different vendors. It streamlines the process & saves you time.

Our business is not meant to fill in for a large agency with endless resources & budget. What we offer is your very own in-house creative department. If you’re here reading the FAQs you’re probably not employing a fully staffed creative team. If you need someone you can count on to provide quality work and you don’t have time or don’t want to explain your project over & over then we’re probably the right fit for you.

“Come on in, stay awhile” is how we want to do business.

Do you only work by yourself?

Yes and no. We do most, if not all our work by ourselves, but we also recognize the importance of having a creative community. We know and are friends with extremely talented individuals due to Jenna’s work as the volunteer director at Circles Conference. Being a member of that team introduces us to so many talented, up and coming and industry leading professions. Our goal to consistently improve and learn new techniques to ensure we are always delivering better products and customer experiences. Connection goes hand in hand with growth.

We are always interested in collaborating so we’ve linked a bunch of our talented friends above this FAQ section. You’ll see their logos & some key words detailing what they do. Each one links directly to their website.

Our hope is that these listed referrals save you time looking for these other services & it might allow us to collaborate with individuals we already know & trust.
