Fall 2026 Family Photo Locations

Fall is one of the busiest times of year for family photography in Central Texas. For my Fall 2026 family sessions, I’m highlighting select locations around the greater Austin area for beautiful, relaxed family photos. From parks and open spaces to spots with seasonal color and plenty of room for kids (and dogs!) to explore. All of the locations featured here are dog-friendly, making them a great option for families who want to include every member of the family in their photos. Below you’ll find this year’s session dates, locations and photo examples to help you choose the setting that feels right for your family.

Dates:

• Sunday, October 18th: Brushy Creek Sports Park, Cedar Park, TX

• Sunday, October 25th: Berry Springs Park, Georgetown, TX

• Saturday, November 7th: Lakewood Park, Leander, TX

• Sunday, November 8th: Blue Hole Park, Georgetown, TX (in water option)

• Back-up for inclement weather: Saturday, November 14th

*All sessions come with a private online gallery, high resolution and web-size file downloads, optional in-gallery store, professional editing (including color correcting and standard retouching to remove background distractions or other other elements per photographers discretion), non-refundable $15 deposit.

Brushy Creek Sports Park:

*Different area than previous location at Brushy Creek Lake Park

Evening: Sunday, October 18th

2310 Brushy Creek Rd, Cedar Park, TX 78613

Key Features:

• Bridges

• Natural creek

• Dense trees

• Accessibility: No bathrooms by the Sports Park parking area, they are available nearby at the Lake Park area. Paths are generally large enough for walking and passing bicycles. Mostly smooth paths with some bumpy areas close to the creek.

Berry Springs Park:

1801 Co Rd 152, Georgetown, TX 78626

Evening: Sunday, October 25th

Key Features:

• Large trees

• Gravel paths

• Bridges

• Accessibility: Bathrooms available by parking area. Main walking path is smooth concrete, then leads to gravel pathways or photo spots on cut grass.

Lakewood Park:

2040 Artesian Spgs Xing, Leander, TX 78641

Evening: Saturday, November 7th

Key Features:

• Large tree in open field

• Curved bridge

• Water view

• Accessibility: Bathrooms at the park. Paths are mostly wide, smooth concrete. One gravel section next to the bridge and cut grass by the tree.
  

Blue Hole Park:

100 Blue Hole Park Rd, Georgetown, TX 78626

Evening: Sunday, November 8th

Key Features:

• Can get in the water

• Shallow splash area

• Cliff view & large stones

• Accessibility: No bathrooms, but close to nearby restaurants. Limited parking. Main path is paved to get to photo spots near the water and on grass.
